Hello there,

I am Amanda (the one on the left) and that’s Jo (the one on the right) and we are the faces behind “Kiss Our Glasses”.

Jo and I have been friends for 50 years! I first met Jo when my family moved from Grafton to Spring grove to share farm a dairy property and Jo just lived up the road on her family’s dairy farm.

We both went to the same school and spent a lot of time as kids milking cows and living the carefree lifestyle being brought up in the country offers.

After school we went our separate ways as Jo began her career in nursing and I moved to Sydney.

Fast forward to 2021

I’m living in Lismore in the Northern Rivers area and Jo has moved back to the area. We started walking together in the mornings and connected again like we had never been apart.

We were having a garage sale and Jo had quite a bit of lovely vintage glassware items for sale and it was mentioned to us about people selling vintage glassware as cocktail glasses online in the early COVID days and how well they sold. Jo and I looked at each other, removed all the vintage glassware off the table! We then started researching bits and pieces online and that was it we were hocked! The seed was planted, an idea formed, and Kiss Our Glasses was born!

Jo and I are both now regular visitors to op shops near and far and avid collectors of many beautiful pre-loved and second-hand items.

Kiss Our Glasses bust on to the Etsy platform providing online shoppers with many beautiful sets of vintage and retro glassware pieces and are now rehoming beautiful pre-loved pieces to people Australia wide and across the globe. While the Esty platform served as our stepping stone our little business now requires more space to grow, so we are hoping our new website will make this happen.

We both work fulltime jobs; Jo as a Nurse and me helping run a family bulk transport business.

Our homes are filled with many beautiful pieces and thankfully none of mine were lost during the devastating 2022 Lismore floods! The flood did not make it upstairs, but we lost all downstairs and we were luckier than most!

By the end of 2024 will hopefully see me and my husband moved back to Spring Grove and would you believe a paddock away from where Jo is living! So yes, neighbours again. The move will provide more room for yep, you guessed it MORE GLASS!!

We are so proud of our small homebased business and take pride in what we do and enjoy everything from sourcing quality glassware right through to carefully packing each piece and sending it off to their new homes.
